Thompson International Speedway Welcomes The New England Summer Nationals!
The 23rd annual New England Summer Nationals has a brand new home at the Thompson International Speedway!This huge motorsports complex is located just a few miles south from where this event has been held for the past 22 years. Thompson, Connecticut is a rural town and a quick 15 minute drive south on Rte 395 and it is located in the northeastern corner of Connecticut just over the Massachusetts and Rhode Island borders.Keeping this show in close proximity to the original location is very important to show owner and promoter Bob Moscoffian! The move became an absolute necessity with the constantly increasing costs of the original location. This show is all about it's fans and the people who participate in it and the only way too prevent increasing admission and participation prices it had to be moved to another location!The new location will allow the show to grow while keeping costs the same! It is the same show we all love! Nothing has changed except the location! Bob and his staff are working harder than ever to make this the show everyone will remember for years to come! Meet Legendary Custom Car Builder Gene Winfield with his Re-Creation of Pasifica! Gene actually built a very similar Ford Econoline back in the 1960's for Ford's Custom Car Caravan. Well here is your chance! Now you can have a chance to make several supervised laps around the highest banked 5/8 mile oval in New England! There will be groups of 15 - 20 cars running supervised laps to keep everyone safe! How cool is that!Here's Just a Few Highlights of The 4 Day Weekend Event This is only a fraction of the action!
